Withdrawal policy
You can ask to withdraw your money at any time. This policy explains how requests are handled, how long they take and what can slow them down.
1. Introduction
This policy sets out how withdrawals from your Forge Capmoor account work. By requesting a withdrawal you confirm that you have read and accept it. It should be read together with the deposit and withdrawal methods page, the fees page and our Terms of Use. If they conflict, the Terms of Use apply.
2. Available withdrawal methods
Withdrawals are made in pounds sterling to a UK bank account, or back to the PayPal account or card you used to deposit. The full list is on the methods page. Where the money can be returned to the source of your deposit, we do so, because that is what anti-money-laundering rules generally require. We do not pay withdrawals to third parties.
3. Processing times
After a request is approved, funds usually arrive within the times shown for each method: within 24 hours for PayPal, 1 to 3 business days for a UK bank transfer and 1 to 5 business days for Visa and Mastercard. These are estimates that start when we approve the request, not when you make it.
Things that can add time include public holidays, high request volumes, additional verification, and the processing speed of your own bank or card issuer.
4. Fees and costs
We do not charge a fee for withdrawing. A payment provider, your bank or an exchange may apply its own charges, and if a currency conversion is involved a conversion cost may apply. Any charge that applies to your request is shown to you before you confirm it.
5. Withdrawal limits
The minimum withdrawal is £50 or the whole balance if lower. There is no maximum for verified accounts, but for security and card-scheme reasons large requests may be split across several payments or paid by bank transfer instead of card. New accounts, and accounts that have recently changed payment details, may have lower daily limits until they have been in use for a short time.
6. KYC and AML checks
Before we can pay out, your identity must be verified as described in our KYC and AML policy. We may also ask about the source of your funds for larger amounts. We cannot release a withdrawal until these checks are complete.
7. Reasons for delay or refusal
- Your details do not match the account holder's or the payment method's.
- Documents are missing, unreadable or expired.
- We need more checks under anti-money-laundering rules or because of security concerns.
- A technical fault, or a problem at a payment provider or exchange.
- A legal or regulatory reason, such as a court order or sanctions requirement.
Where we are allowed to, we tell you why, and what you can do to move things along.
8. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for giving correct bank, card and wallet details. If you enter the wrong details and the payment is made as instructed, we may not be able to recover the money, although we will help where we can. Keep your contact details up to date so that we can reach you about a request.
9. Cancelling or changing a request
You can cancel a request from your dashboard while its status is "pending". Once it has been approved and sent to the payment provider it usually cannot be changed. If you spot a mistake, contact your manager straight away and we will try to stop it.
How to request a withdrawal
Sign in, open the wallet section of your dashboard, choose the amount and method, and confirm with your second factor. You receive an email confirming the request and later another when it has been approved and sent. If you would rather have help, your personal manager can guide you through it by phone.
Withdrawing profits and capital
You may withdraw profits, capital or both. Strategies that are running may need to be paused or closed to release funds, and we will explain what that means for open positions before you confirm. Closing positions to fund a withdrawal can crystallise a loss.
10. Support
Ask your personal manager or write to [email protected] with your request date and amount. We aim to reply within one working hour.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when we add or remove a payment method. The updated version takes effect when it is published on this page, and material changes are notified to clients by email in advance where practicable.
